Struggling with Diabetes and Food

Diabetes pretty much takes the joy out of eating anything. It can be so stressful that I put it off and only end up eating like once a day and very small portions

Honestly felt all of these. I just hate having to stop a conversation, or no longer being apart of it because I missed something important to the topic because I went to take my insulin

So true anything that tastes good is what kills us. So frustrating seeing normal functioning people not having to worry at all about what they eat and their bloodsugar. I have a bad relationship with food too. Sometimes I just don't feel like eating carbs 😕

Totally. Having to manage blood sugars for simple foods is exhausting. I don't want to cook food and easy to make foods are high in sugar/carbs or taste horrible.

I agree, it's really hard to have a healthy relationship with food. My depression and anxiety really exacerbate this for me. I've found now that I'm on a pump/cgm it's a little easier because my blood sugar doesn't spike as much after meals. Post meal highs used to make me feel so guilty
