I just started dexemethylphenidate for my ADD. What kinds of side affects should I look for? And how do I know it’s working? Also any advice while on it?

Hi, you may have no side effects at all and you may have some. There are always possible side effects in the consumer leaflet. I can say that mine mainly affected my appetite. I could not eat for a whole day and not notice. In addition, it made me very tired and at the end of the day, I was really tired in the relatively early hours.

  @Mark thanks for responding. I’ve been on these meds for awhile now, and I can definitely say I’ve noticed both of those things. I also have noticed wanting/needing to take more naps which is very out of the norm for me. I almost never nap and lately I’ve been taking one about twice a week. It’s very strange. Hoping it’s just a phase I’ll work out of because it really messes with my schedule.
