Need help with dermatillomania

This is going to sound like a ridiculous suggestion, but I have a similar picking type disorder called dermatophagia where I bite the skin around my fingernails. I haven't managed to fix it yet, but during the worst times I generally put gloves on, and just go about my day with gloves on so I have a hard time biting the skin. I'll try to brainstorm if there's any good wacky bandaid solutions like that. I suppose it's harder because your hands would just remove whatever barrier is in the way?
