Lack of Support and Empathy in Dealing with Depression

I think the worst part of my depression is the lack support and empathy i receive. i live with my parents and they don’t believe in mental illness really. they see it as a weakness that has to be strengthened more than a natural disorder. their reactions when i open up about struggling take a toll on my relationship with them and push me away. can anyone out there relate ??
