Struggling with Depression and Anxiety at Work

Hi everyone, I'm new here. So does anyone else have depression and anxiety so bad that they miss a lot of work because of it?

Yep, I’ve always had this problem; it was so challenging to actually call off for mental health, even after I got a note from my doctor. I’ve always found it easier to call off with physical symptoms, which usually come along with anxiety and depression anyway. I’m hoping to find a work from home position, because any job that requires me to leave the house just eventually burns me out. I’d like to have more sensory control over my environment than any retail or school work can offer.

I work from home and it's legit. I set my own hours. If you can stand being in front of a computer and taking calls that you receive training for let me know. There is no cold calling and your not selling anything. My job is making sure ppl have rides to the doctor appointments.

I’m not working right now because of it. How do I find a new job in this condition? I can barely think.

same here. I now work as an assistant at a salon but the owner knows me so when I need to take off she knows why but I still feel horrible and lazy about it

I'm actually on disability due to MDD, GAD, panic disorder, PTSD. It was determined not that I can't get a job and work but that I can't maintain steady employment. I've worked since being on it but it always ends the same, quitting or getting fired

yeah I've had to either quit or either I would be fired for missing too many days. I always thought I was the only one this happened to.

I had a total mental meltdown at work, so I don't work. It's kept me from attending some family functions and I missed Charlie Brown's Christmas Live. There are times my anxiety says "nope" and times I force myself to do things. That's kind of where I'm at right now, and nope is winning. I live in my bed and rarely leave the house. I hate it because I'm missing time with my husband. It sucks.

that's how my anxiety gets. A lot of times I'm so worried about what people think of me so I just don't show up
