You don't need to excel. Just accept this. You don't need to be perfect. You just need to do some absolutely necessary minimum and if you have energy for more, do more. So the trick is to figure out what the minimum is. Don't push yourself!!! Pushing yourself is a trigger for everyone with bipolar.

Self-care time. Though, all the work on myself in the world couldn't fully bridge the gap. It took so very long until we figured out the right meds for me. My most recent case manager through my therapist did an intake questionnaire. They asked me about what coping skills I have and use. He said, "Well. That's, uh, actually everything I was going to suggest and a little more." I spent so long without the right meds that I had to treat my brain like an inmate. Journal, journal, journal. I can give a highly thorough answer, if you'd like.

I'm an excellent actor. That is the only way I get through that stuff. It may not be the right way to work through it,but it works for me.

Just try to take it one day at a time or minute for that matter. I'm in a similar situation at the moment myself. I start a new job Tuesday. Just remind yourself every single day that you are strong and got this. Those lows are the worst especially when it comes to work. I find keeping my mind and body busy helps.
