I’ve just recently started understanding what a depersonalization episode feels like and that it is an actual thing. Are there any medications or treatments you guys would recommend?

Honestly nothing really helps me. My drs told me to make sure I’m safe, not driving or anything. Then I just vibe with it and try to work through it til it passes. A good nap helps a lot too.

dbt is always very helpful for me personally but in terms of more in the moment very sudden episodes, i like to touch things. (items and objects! not people without consent!) touch as many physical items as you can, hold them and move them around. my episodes typically involve things around me looking like a screen almost like a VR game so touching things helps!

@diony I just used the VR thing as a way to describe how I’ve been feeling the other day! I will have to try touching things, that makes so much sense. Thank you!!
