Dependence on Weed: Feeling Stuck

does anyone else have a dependence on weed? I feel like i need it to control my moods, and whenever i feel a negative emotion i immediately smoke to try to get rid of it. idk where to go from here i feel stuck

yes, definitely. as alexjjj mentions, i find it helps with managing negative thoughts and mania as well as sleep and indigestion i experience from depression. i do notice that over time it makes my anxiety worse, though. i’m starting bipolar meds soon so i’m hoping that will help me become less dependent on weed since i also feel stuck

Oh yeah same here !! I took a break last month and then went back to smoking and my dependency was weaned off a little bit. In the break I found other things to help myself!! Just taking a break of a week or 2 at first will slowly help. I hope this helps you!

yup! it helps me forget the negative thoughts and control the mania. i’ve been thinking about quitting but i think it is helping me more that not at this point in my life. sometimes it’s upsetting that i have to depend on it but if it helps it helps.
