Hello, I'm currently waiting to undergo an autologous stem cell transplant after completing four cycles of CyBorD (cyclophosphamide, Velcade, dexamethasone), with the last cycle wrapping up 4 months ago. Fortunately, I didn't experience significant side effects. Historically, I've needed dental interventions like root canals and fillings. But in the last two weeks alone, I've undergone one tooth extraction and two root canals, pushing back my transplant schedule. I'm hopeful that after the final part of my latest root canal, I can proceed with the transplant. is it common for dental health, to deteriorate following treatment? can it be prevented?

Hi I just wanted to reach out and let you know that the dental problems you've been experiencing are not related to your CyBorD or Zometa treatments. Don't worry, there's no need to be concerned about these treatments causing your dental issues, especially with only a few treatments. By the way, have you recently changed your dentist? š¤
