Decreased Effectiveness of Emgality Injections for Migraines

I’m on year 3 of my Emgality injections and I’m not sure if it’s working as well but my migraines are still so much more manageable. Has anyone had decreased effectiveness? What did you move to if you changed medication?

I saw a neurologist that specializes in headaches. I’ve seen a few neurologists and they all support Botox as a treatment. I’m sorry your doctor doesn’t want you to give it a try

My doctor had me switch between Emgality and Aimovig with nurtec/ubrelvy as rescues

@allie8 may I ask What kind of a dr you went to for injections? My migraine dr wasn’t a fan of them so they never let me go that route

I’ve taken emgality for a little less than a year and I’m already feeling like it’s not as effective as when I started. For me the thing that has helped the most has been Botox injections

I started emgality about this time last year. It worked wonders when I first started but I too feel it wearing off.
