Dealing with Breast Lump Anxiety

I'm having so bad anxiety about finding a lump in my breast. and my doctor has sent me to get a mammogram, I have to get a ultrasound first because I am under 30 according to the mammogram people. I know it could be a lot of things. but breast cancer runs in my family. and so negative things are running in my mind. I love to read, and write, and do diamond paintings but while doing those things bad things come up. do you guys have any suggestions on how to keep the negative thoughts away. or even good books i could read too? I am running out of books to borrow from library to look up to read.

Update: they think its have a cyst and they will remove it by a needle. Just by removing the fluid inside of it.

I'm glad to hear that it's just a cyst. Glad to hear it!

i have an update. I got my ultrasound scheduled and they scheduled the mammogram just in case but if the radiologist reads the ultrasound and sees its a cyst then we go from there and it probably will end in talking with my doctor and probably talking with surgeon but if the radiologist says he needs the mammogram then its possibly breast cancer. But its scheduled for September 6th. But I'm also a type 1 diabetic so there is also other health issues to consider when talking treatments for either treatments for anything.

I play games especially bi go blitz online and I can’t think of other things while playing bingo. Also I like to talk to people on Facebook too. I haven’t read a book for awhile I used to read all the time after my husband died to keep my mind off it . My sister died from breast cancer and my mom caught hers at 88 she’s 90 now and fine.

my great aunt had it too and beat it and no one else caught it and we know that it could go to other generations but we don't know who. And no one else has had scares but me so far. But I have had cysts in different parts of my body so I am hoping it's a cyst.

I went through the same thing and couldn’t get my brain to stop being negative and scared about it. it ended up just being benign fibrositic changes. the only thing they do is cause some discomfort. I really hope that breast cancer isn’t the case for you! it’s hard to manage anxiety when it comes to scary stuff like that, just try to catch yourself when you get into a negative loop and try to fight off those thoughts. wishing you the absolute best, keep us updated💕

thank you so much. I am so prone to cysts that I am hoping that is all it is. And I hope it isn't breast cancer either. And I definitely will keep you guys updated.

A great book I’m in the process of reading is Unf*ck your brain by Faith Harper. Even after the first chapter it’s helped me feel more comfortable and the anxiety more manageable
