I ignore it. Well, I try. But sometimes, things may happen around me, even being called by my actual name (actual isn't Dusty, but that's what I go by) is a trigger. Then I either fight it on the outside, (not let people see how upset I am) or I go into my place, & cry, while holding my ESA.

Some ways to deal with the condition include focusing on what makes you happy and what would be fulfilling no matter what happens with the disease, accepting that the disease is a part of your life and finding coping mechanisms, trusting that you're going to get better and learning more about how to avoid flaring up, finding an enjoyable activity that also gives you space to think, involving family members in doctor visits to increase their understanding of your condition, and following the doctor's treatment while doing your own research.
