Dealing with Urinary Urges When Passing Gas

Sometimes when I pass gas I have the urge to pass urine. Sometimes I do sometimes the urge goes. My doctor said its the pressure from the gas on the bladder. Can I do anything to prevent to much build up of gas in the first place.?

      Ginger and peppermint give me instant heartburn. Elimination diet and checking different foods helped the most. Remember with IBS it may take eating it a few times before symptoms hit. My functional medicine dr would have add something and eat it every day for a week. No reaction meant I could add it back to my diet. If I reacted I would stop and go back to safe foods for a week or however long to recover. Slow process but I'm sooooo much better than I've been in 45 years!

        @purplerose52 yes gas causes me the urge to urinate sometimes straight after. Is there any way reccomended naturally effective ways to prevent gas buildup. I've tryed peppermint and it helps but if I take to much it can irritate the stomach...

          @mrimagination ginger tea or capsules. You may need digestive enzymes or digestive bitters before meals. Do you get bloated or gassy after meals?
