Dealing with TMD/TMJ Pain: Seeking Advice

Hey 🙂 I’m looking for suggestions and advice on addressing TMD/TMJ pain. I’m lucky to have dental and health insurance, but neither of them cover treatment through a dentist or oral surgeon for it. I’m also relatively low-income, so there’s definitely a limit on what I can afford to pay out of pocket.

When I was in physical therapy for mine, she gave me a few exercises to try because then I wouldn't have to keep coming back. One is to massage the point where the two jaws meet right below the ear. That one helped the most with my pain, along with taking pain meds, but those shouldn't be relied on.
