Man.. my panic attacks lately have been terrible! I mean I’m constantly dizzy, my hearts always racing, nothing feels real.. I feel so alone in this because no one ever knows what I’m talking about or can relate. They say “yeah, I’ve had a panic attack.. got over it within 5 minutes” when mine can last HOURS. Everything feels fake , like in a movie.. I can’t breathe right. I always convince myself I’m having a heart attack or have a heart problem.. does anyone else have this? What helps you during panic episodes?

I've been there, too. Panic attacks lasting hours that are so exhausting that they took hours more to recover from. What was so frustrating for me was the only advice I ever got was breath/breathing exercises. But focusing on my breath or trying to breath a certain way always made me feel worse. The right mix of meds has helped manage that, currently on 90mg cymbalta and 20mg buspirone. For more easily accessible relief, comfort objects. For me, that's just a blanket that I can cocoon myself into. 528 Hz frequencies have also helped. And then trying your best not to fight it, just ride it out, as counterintuitive and difficult as that is. Calm-i-go has also helped me recover from those attacks faster, it's kind of a reverse inhaler, it's unnecessarily expensive, but if it's economically an option for you, I do like it

I feel that, I used to get really sick. Like nauseous, shortness of breath, etc. and it lasted a really long time. Sometimes I still do but for me Sertraline has really helped. Before I had that I listened to a lot of ASMR, I have a stress relief aromatherapy candle and both those helped me. Maybe look into tapping.
