Does anyone else have very tender muscles? I know muscle weakness is common but just rubbing my back makes the muscles so tender and painful. Like a simple touch feels like somebody hit me. Is this EDS or something else?

Could be from the Eds because our backs are also hypermobile so there’s a chance you’re extending weirdly when picking things up, bad posture, weird laying positions (that feel just right for us) but also if the muscles aren’t built it can be over compensating

I have that same problem but it’s my whole body
I don't think it's eds itself, bit more as a result. I have very similar feelings, especially around my joints that like to move around a lot. Usually it's just because of soreness and tightness as by body tries to compensate. Hope that helps!

Based on the provided context, some individuals with EDS have reported experiencing muscle pain and sensitivity. One person described their muscle pain as feeling "stingy" throughout their body, while another mentioned that their muscles feel overly sensitive to touch. However, it's also noted that these symptoms could be related to other conditions such as fibromyalgia.
