How do you all deal with people who stare? A non cleft lip friend told me to "smile and wave at them until they get uncomfortable and walk away." But I don't have the guts for that.

I honestly didn’t notice the staring until o started wearing a mask at the beginning of the pandemic and noticed the LACK of staring. I still wear a mask in public a lot because it’s just nice to not get weird looks, I’m not sure how I tuned it out before
