Idk if this helps but I made a rule where I can’t split unless I’m protecting myself from life-threatening danger. I was at a point once with 5 different splits and was in danger of making more, when my current partner at the time told me No! You have all the parts you need to get by! This is not for fun! This is not to become someone’s ideal person! This is a coping mechanism and it’s not always a good one! Ironically enough, I was splitting in response to my toxic partner. When I removed myself from the bad situation (and sought out therapy) I started reintegrating.
