Getting nervous about going out today into the town centre, hate running into people, they naturally ask how I am, I hate answering that as I have to lie and say fine as absolutely awful isn't the expected answer!

I am proud of you for at least getting out of the house!! That's a big step for some people (me included) I always say same old thing different day! When people ask how I am. Maybe you will get lucky and not run into anyone. Have a good time today!

turn the conversation to them. Deflect or don't answer directly. Ask them a question about themselves, compliment an article of clothing or their hair. You won't feel bad about lying and you can avoid talking about how you are feeling. Then come back here or to some other safe place and talk to people you're comfortable with about how you are feeling. As Stormer said, good for you for taking the first step and actually going out! šŸ‘

@thisgirl2311 thank you, or they won't ask how I am
