Dealing with Severe Endometriosis Pain: Need Advice

I had a laparoscopy in 2018 and started Orilissa in 2020. The best thing I can tell you is listen to yourself, really internalize the fact that you are your own best advocate. If you see a doc who is dismissing your pain, don’t go back. Keep looking. It sucks to start over but it sucks even more to continue to suffer needlessly. In terms of short-term relief, ThermaCare neck/shoulder wraps are amazing. They’re bigger than the ones for menstrual cramps and the adhesive is only at the far edges, so you won’t have to pull at the skin in the area that already hurts.

I am about go for my second surgery for it on Monday and I am trying get put on orlissa as well after the surgery. But the surgery does help with the pain

What state are you in? I would just make sure like someone else said you donbeeybfood research on your surgeron and don't let any doctors invalidate you

Another thing I forgot is the drug Orilissa. I had that for before and after my second surgery. That drug is specifically for endometriosis. I had shots my first time. I think lupron. It worked, just not as well.

My OBGYN was the one that did everything, including the laprascopy. It may be worth looking into a doctor that can do the whole treatment. She made me feel very comfortable with my choices of surgery, medicine before and after, and care.
