Dealing with Separation and Emotional Rollercoaster

Long story short I've recently separated from my wife, she has moved to a different state now with her four daughters, so now I can't see the kids on a regular basis. her move put me in a depressive state, friends have been helping lift me up and we are slowly making progress, at the same time km weary of the good energy/mood I've started to experienced, I'm hoping it's actual progress and not the start of a manic high episode.

Don’t stress over it, even if it is mania it’s a lot worse I think to stress yourself into a manic episode than to naturally have one. Just take the emotions as they come, you could just be feeling a lot better now that you have some friends helping keep you company

that's true since I've been filling my time with them or activities instead of sitting at home over thinking what has happened
