Dealing with Reflux After a Stomach Illness

I recently had a terrible stomach illness (a virus or food poisoning, don’t know) that landed me in the hospital receiving fluids. Since then, I have had terrible reflux, and fatty foods and alcohol have been a nightmare for me. Does anyone else find that they are much more sensitive than a “normal person” after something like this? Even though I have UC, I feel like I have gastritis or similar more often than your average bear. Tips?

My doctor prescribed an antacid for me. Nothing over the counter worked for me.

I would definitely tell your doctor if there’s been a change! I know I’ve had medication that has helped target and relieve a temporary rise in symptoms during a flare (which could be the case if you were recently hospitalized)
