Any tips on how to deal with recurring negative emotions? I feel that I am more depressed since leaving a toxic environment and it is affecting my life

Its tough to say goodbye to thongs even if we know its for the best. This can be for many reasons including guilt tripping, other manipulations, rememisence on the good parts, fear for rejection etc. All these emotions are natural and totally valid. As with most challenges it can help to have a supportive community to fall back on when thoughts go towards contact/getting back to it. Its often helpful to have physical activity and other expressive means in your toolbox. This might look different for everyone. This could be journal, listening, playing or writing music, dance, drama, coloring, meditation, painting, quilting, gardening, etc.
