Dealing with Recurring Conversion Disorder: Tips Needed

Hi guys, I’m Michael, I’m 17 and I am very recently diagnosed as a recurring conversion disorder patient. Any tips on how to deal with it? I’ve cut out caffeine or anything that raises my heart rate but sometimes during the day I’ll be stressless and have a heart rate of 130+.

I had this problem when I had to go home for winter break (toxic, triggering environment for me). I found that when I left the house or went back to my college apartment, my resting heart rate went back to normal.

This might be something you’ve already heard, but I end up spending a lot of time resting. It helps me recharge mind and body and hold off symptoms for 2-3 hours. Sometimes it’s just lying down and mindless youtube videos and sometimes it’s fidgeting or logic puzzles. I always do it lying down to let my body rest from the constant assault of symptoms. If you want to talk more about it just let me know! I’ve been working with conversion disorder for a good while now, and might have some tips and ways to come to terms 🤍
