Just realize when they are criticizing you, they aren't right. People, including parents, have negative ways of dealing with their own stress and put it out on others, especially the closest ones. You have to accept that they wont change, only you can change yourself. So, on that point, try to find a good support system that isn't your family, such as friends or a significant others family as well as long as they are healthy for YOU.
