Dealing with Panic Attacks in Everyday Situations

does anyone else have problems with going outside.. getting in the car.. getting in and out of the shower... going upstairs.. I have been improving these fears of these areas but Still find panic attacks frequently try to rear their ugly head in these areas the most sometimes even when the urge to go to the bathroom hits me my body tenses up and I get this weird wave of fear over me and I have to sit down and breath and ground myself before trying the tasks again.. it's very strange

      @tabi1981 it sucks but i think we will be ok .. we need to stick together wish i was able to meet and do group sessions pretty much talk in person..

      Yes it does that for me as well I get a strange shot of pain in my head first and it works it's way all the way down to my feet

      I have a hard time breathing when the anxiety and panic attack hits I get super short of breath like hyperventilating fast breathing, I get dizzy and lightheaded.. my heart races and I have to sit ground myself to get out of panic mode..it's actually very frightening

      I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder in 2020. It felt like I was dying. Could not breath. I have a real hard time being alone. Interferes with my days and nights.

      I feel like the older I get the worse my anxiety and depression get.

      Yes I have these issues too! I bought a speaker for the shower to listen to some podcasts which does help sometimes.. anything to keep my mind busy and away from thinking too much!

      Yes so weird iam 43 never felt like this , the panic , anxiety , i mean always had anxiety but never to this degree .. its odd iam wondering if having covid made it worse
