Dealing with Pain that Doesn't Show

Can we talk about inside pain? So I just smashed my finger at work and it could have broken it but it didn’t. My thumb is swollen but the skin is not broken. It hurts pretty bad but it looks fine. No one takes me seriously when I say it hurts because it looks normal. That’s really annoying to me

100% understand. I suffer from chronic pain but I'm hardly believed because there's no physical signs so they think I'm exaggerating.

It drives me crazy when people don't take things seriously because they can't see it. Can you see a headache or stomachache?

Oh hun, I'm so sorry. I know what it's like to have awful pain, but no listens or cares. For 6 months, I said I had excruciating pain in the calf of my left leg. The docs ran tests, but kept blowing me off because the tests were clean. Turns out I had a blood clot in that leg, and a piece broke off and lodged itself in the opening of my lungs. That type of blood clot in the lungs is the kind most die from. So I understand hidden pain, it's awful to be ignored.

I'm 26 and having a acute tingling, throbbing pain in my leg calf. It's usually in one spot on the upper part of my outer calf. After an ultrasound I was told there is not clotting but I haven't been given any helpful answers to what's going on and it's been two months now..ugh

oh no! I’m so sorry. Mental and internal illnesses should be taken seriously
