Dealing with Overwhelming Stress

Anybody know how to deal with being overwhelmed? I often get so stressed out that I have such a hard time getting work done but the only way I've found to calm down is to basically spend way more time than I have not doing anything responsible. And being autistic just makes matters worse because I get overwhelmed by such small things. I have a few other methods that help but not enough to meet the demands of college life

SAME- simply reducing the # of classes didn’t fix anything i still have issues with writing assignments and things are still overwhelming. it sucks that people don’t understand we need that time doing “nothing” it’s really important for our regulation I think

I calm myself down with the closest thing I can get to sensory deprivation. I turn off the lights, dim electronics as much as possible, and (if I can stand it, I don't like silence) turn off all audio
