Dealing with Osteoporosis Diagnosis at 58

I have been diagnosed with a T score of -4.3. I am 58 and have decided not to take the suggested shots . I am currently trying to eat high in calcium and take D vitamins. I am concerned about what my future holds. Any words of wisdom and advice are appreciated.

Actually been doing alot of research on the reclast. Not liking anything I've read and stories on here are not encouraging. Believe I will work on adding more calcium to diet. Ive been taking 10,000 vit d for last 2 yrs but now added the 1200 mg calcium. Also will do estrogen as was told this is alot of the cause from post menopause women. Hoping all works.🥰

Just returned from specialist. Your T score is much higher than mine and I'm told moderate to severe, probably leaning more on severe. Recommended 3 options...continue vit d, calcium with added extra. Shots in fatty underarm every 3 months or reclast. Will have to research reclast therapy as Im unaware of it. Also given a list of high calcium foods.
