      What finally helped me was a combination of nortriptyline and bupivacaine nerve block injections. There are different types of nerve block injections, which I hadn’t known until I worked with a headache specialist (neurologist sub-specialty) instead of a pain specialist. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this!

        @Macks from what I've read if the do the thr nerve block and it eases the pain, they can actually perform a surgery to loosen the tight muscles

          @TNA For some people that can help, yes! Apparently there are some situations (like mine) where that surgery wouldn’t help, but it’s great that it’s sometimes an option! I think it depends on what’s causing it, and what type of block ends up helping; I know they said for me that because the steroids made it worse, the surgery definitely wouldn’t help.
