What finally helped me was a combination of nortriptyline and bupivacaine nerve block injections. There are different types of nerve block injections, which I hadn’t known until I worked with a headache specialist (neurologist sub-specialty) instead of a pain specialist. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this!

from what I've read if the do the thr nerve block and it eases the pain, they can actually perform a surgery to loosen the tight muscles
