I don't know if anyone will understand, but I'm hoping someone will. A couple weeks ago, my mom told me about her childhood and it contained some dark stuff (i won't say much out of respect for my mother). She told me all this because she's also diagnosed with anxiety like me and she wanted me to understand her on how she is. She mentioned her family being involved and it broke my heart to hear all the stuff she had been through. Recently I have been having these dreams. I don't know whether to call them bad dreams or nightmares. They involved my moms direct family (parents and sister). It goes on how my mom exposes her childhood and all the things have been done to her because nobody protected her. Her parents call her out on it and I step in to say she told me everything. It goes on and on and on until I suddenly wake up. I don't know how to take it. I haven't spoken to my mom's sister (refuse to call her anything else) because of how she treats my mom. Her parents I am so conflicted because I have had good memories of them when I was young until I got older and slowly started to realize who they were. Before she told me all this I've always had conflicted feelings about my mom's side of the family. My mother and I had a rocky relationship when I started becoming a teenager and shifting into young adult. We didn't understand each other as best as we could until we started getting better 2 years ago. I am forever grateful to be her daughter and I will forever be grateful to have her as my mother.
