Dealing with Morning Anxiety Attacks

I am currently in the middle of a traumatic situation with a parent’s health which followed a trauma with the other parent’s health. I’m waking up every morning with terrible anxiety very early in the morning. Does anyone have advice on how to handle morning anxiety attacks? Running around and doing things isn’t cutting it.

That used to happen to me a lot when I was always stressed out. I’d wake up in the middle of the night with anxiety. It got better when I broke up with my toxic boyfriend and left my stressful job.

I understand the situation well. I begin my morning with a guided meditation on the Calm app. I also use the DARE app as well to quell the anxiety. It definitely helps. I also began therapy

Taking a few minutes to center. It could be meditating, yoga, or drinking a warm cup of tea. Basically starting the day not rushed and easing into it. When I can start my day without rushing helps reduce my morning anxiety. And having things prepped for the day. I make sure my mom has a meal before I leave for work so I meal prep in the weekend so I can just heat it up for her. It is one less thing to stress about because it is already handled.
