Dealing with Joint Pain: Seeking Advice

I deal with pain in most of my joints and my doctor thinks it may be a connective tissue disorder. I can’t really afford all the tests for that, so if anyone else has similar issues, how do you deal with it? Are there any OTC meds that help? Any particular kind of braces? I’ll try anything at this point.

Me too everyone is giving you good advice. Try to do at home physical therapy on your own and get braces or compression braces. Also try pain creams or gels to the effected area.

I have a connective tissue disorder, hard braces aren’t good for me since my joints are weird but compression braces help a lot

I do strength training (pilates) to strengthen my muscles so my joints become more stable. I also do yoga to stretch out (not too much) tight muscles. Those have helped some with joint pain. CBD can be helpful. I do like braces, I don’t know specifics but it shouldn’t give you too much wiggle room. If you have full range of motion in a brace then it’s probably not going to work. They limit the range of motion a bit but stabilise the joint enough you can keep doing things and I love that. I’m not sure about OTC meds though so I can’t make any more recommendations. Epsom salt baths might be helpful. I hope you get some relief soon ❤️
