I was diagnosed with menieres in 2013. I barely got sick except loud Ringing but last year I was diagnosed with bilateral hearing lost. It is werid because I used to have a lot of attacks which was weekly but then in 2017 it gets less and less but hearing lost was one ears but now both.

I have had Ménière’s for a 5-8 years but it was just diagnosed last fall. I have been going to a NUCCA Chiropractor and an acupuncturist. They help a great deal but a change in the diametric pressure makes me light headed close to vertigo. Knowing when the air pressure changes will help me with planning.

I joined a support group on Facebook for Ménière’s disease and it’s really helpful. I think we all have our own coping mechanisms. I’m 62 and have had Ménière’s since I was a child, I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 21. I take a half of a chewable Dramamine tablet at night and a half in the morning. That helps with not spinning during the night. I also sleep on my back with my head propped up because I can’t sleep on my sides or I will spin. Low sodium diet helps, trying to keep stress at bay which is difficult to do these days, and having a good support system, people who really understand you. Sometimes that can be hard to.
