I have had ibs for probably all my life but was diagnosed in my 20s. For me I do know that stress and I know what foods can trigger it for me at this point. I have ibsa.

I've been dealing with abdominal pain since last October when it put me in the ER. After a colonoscopy, they diagnosed me with IBS (put me on medicine that made the pain worse) and told me I have a tortous colon as well as diverticula pockets/diverticulosis. They didn't say I had diverticulosis/diverticular disease (not sure why on that, plan to ask at my next appointment). They told me the tortous colon can cause constipation and abdominal pain and nausea, etc but didn't give me aby way to FIX it. I deal with abdominal pain and nausea on a daily basis. I do a keto diet but I've not had any change in my symptoms that I can recall. I was eating 2 to 4 atkins/slimfast bars just to be regular. I recently started taking probiotics with prebiotics because when I did some more research it mentioned it can help with IBS symptoms. I'm on day 3 so I can't give any "hey this is helping me" or "not helping" quite yet. The best thing I can say to try is document your food if you're not already to help try to find triggering food. I've had a heck of a time trying to do that honestly but I did learn that eating nuts cause me pain - I stopped eating them for about 5 days and noticed the pain wasn't as severe as if I ate nuts. Hopefully some of this helps or just brings you some relief in a sense that you're not alone 🤗❤️

hello! Please take time to research the Medical Medium! I started gut issues in 1978..tons of tests, drugs, diets that failed after having diagnosis of celiac disease (1990) to IBS …and when those drugs/diets failed went to top celiac specialist to run every test to have no answers but antidepressants. I have chronic D and has ruined all parts of my life. Had to retire early. Tried alternatives that I could afford with no resolve but learned lots. Foods were my enemy….so many food intolerances …was prisoner to my kitchen and eating out, enjoying parties, etc(everything revolves around food!!!)… were impossible. Over 40 years on that medical merry go round! I joined a leaky gut program that also failed, but learned about my histamine issues plus fluoride was part cause to my bowel issues and invested in the Berkey system. But in this group I was recommended to research the Medical Medium! I read what books he had out in late 2018 to start his protocols in 2019. Doing so much better now and enjoying life more but is a slow heal. I’m over 65 and too many yesss and ills to recoup from. But did heal eczema, reflux/indigestion, dry eye syndrome and balanced low blood pressure. Can eat tons more foods now that had me living in bathrooms. It’s been a win-win gut me. There’s plenty of info online or his books can be purchased or try your library as that was my main source but did buy some books of his for reference/recipes. You can heal both IBS and diverticulitis. Here is one post… https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/secrets-about-gut-health
