Dealing with Hyperthyroidism at 15

Hey! I’m 15 and have hyperthyroidism. I only changed my account age because it said 17+, and I need resources. I was first diagnosed in 2019, I had it for a while then was cured and only borderline. Now, a few weeks ago I find out I have it again. I’m waiting to get medicated because they want to test my blood again to make sure. I’ve been experiencing excessive sweating and difficulty breathing. I know it’s typically diagnosed in older folks, but since I’m still waiting to be medicated I wanted to know if there’s any other remedies to stop the sweating and the heavy breathing. Thanks!

Do you have anyway to keep a check on your heart beat? Like a fitbit or anything else that will let you check it with?

Propranolol and atenolol were meds that really helped with my heartbeat! I found that eating high protein/high fat foods also really helped- especially when I ate every 90 minutes (small portions). My symptoms got worse whenever I was hungry, so the more I could eat before I felt hungry, the easier the symptoms were to manage.
