Dealing with Hypermobile Joint Pain: Seeking Advice

I’ve always been extremely hypermobile but recently the joint pain from it has been getting unbearable. My doctor suggested trying physical therapy the strengthen the muscles around my problem joints. Has this helped anyone and was it worth it?

I’ve wanted to try swimming to strengthen muscles around problem joints but there aren’t any pools near me :(

I highly recommend working on strength training/joint strengthening in a swimming pool, it’s the absolute best for hsd because it doesn’t damage your joints and inflame them while you do it. Also MSM is a great supplement for joint pain + growth.

It helped me a lot. I still have issues but the pain is a lot less and I don't twist my ankle as much

For me, strengthening is really one of the only things that has helped long term. It's hard to get into (as in starting the process will be difficult), but once you get the hang of it and get in consistency it will really help.
