I’ve been dealing with a high amount of stress and anxiety lately and wake up every morning for the past week shaking. Has this happened to anyone else even when they are sleeping next to a partner?

I've had wakeup terrors for a while now. So definitely!

I know some people with ptsd actually benefit sleeping separately from they’re partner. It hasn’t made much of a difference for me. What has surprisingly helped was talking about the context of the night terrors in therapy. I was ashamed of them and grossed out by the thought of them and never thought something that simple could help. Don’t push yourself to a place you’re uncomfortable and I hope it gets better

This has happen to me, I’ve even had night terrors
@Foodsnob I don’t remember any of my dreams or nightmares when I wake up. I have a feeling it’s stress or I am scared of something I just wish it would stop.

@Bec89 if you want to remember your dreams and better understand them, I wrote a dream journal. You’re welcome to message me and vent to me if that helps. Sometimes it helps just to get the words out and not overthinking it so much in your mind.
I've had that happen before. Something that helped me was journalling or meditating either right before and/or right after sleeping. Focusing on either emptying the bad from my mind or highlighting the positives before bed. Alternatively, when I wake up focusing on my dreams and how they connect to my thoughts and emotions or a few good things about the upcoming day.
I don't have a partner but a couple of nights this week, I've woken up having panic attacks. I know why, though. One night was because I was talking about my previous abusers the night before. The other time was because of my current abuser.
