This one’s for all my people with stomach issues, the good old GERD. I’m not diagnosed yet but that’s what they are leaning towards. But if anyone has had similar symptoms (as i will list) or even any helpful insight please feel free to message me or comment. I’ve been taking omeprazole for about a year now and at first it did help, after a while I felt as if it made me more sick than without taking it. I stopped for a while but just got back on because my symptoms are worse than before and it’s frustrating and embarrassing. My symptoms get worse if I’m cold or feel any sort of cold whether it be the outside air or cold water. I gag and dry heave half the time and my nose and sinuses feel very congested. My stomach will burn and I just can’t get comfortable at all. I cough sounding like im coughing up a lung and sometimes I’ve had a clearish phlegm like throw up come up randomly (depending on how badly I’ve been coughing or sometimes even just from the pressure of my stomach). It makes it very hard to do anything when my symptoms occur even just walking and laying down are a huge discomfort. Recently prior to me getting back on the medication I’ve had some heart/chest discomfort I wouldn’t say so much acid reflux it doesn’t burn it just feels like pressure or uncomfortable and it usually doesn’t last long. I stopped taking the pill for today and my symptoms are barely noticeable just simply feel a little congested or having a lot of mucus. I just want to know what others did in order to get a new medication or come to a diagnosis anything can relieve the symptoms if they do get to that intolerable point. Thanks for reading.
