I had severe pain that radiated up into my shoulders throughout an entire weekend. I went to my primary doctor and she ordered an ultrasound. You can ask the doctor to keep the gallstones, seriously. I opted for just the pictures of them. They were like ping pong balls clogging my gallbladder. It was extremely painful. You should ask for the ultrasound results so you know how big the stones are now. So you have an idea down the road if they are getting worse or staying the same.
