How do I know my fibroids are getting worse?

I've been told I need a hysterectomy. why can't they just shrink the fibroid

Dealing with Long and Light Menstrual Bleeding

I just had an ultrasound that showed a fibroid. I’m waiting for an appointment with a new GYN (I just moved back to the United States)… I’m really nervous about meds or surgery. Just wondering if anyone just lives with theirs I guess?

Hi, I have a few small fibroids per my last sonogram about a year ago. Even though they few and small (according to the doctor) they are causing ALOT of bleeding almost like hemorrhaging. However I don't have any anemia or nothing significant came up nor high blood pressure. Also, the birth control she gave me made me terribly sick so she said I could stop. Every time I exercise it causes bleeding to start, or get worse, my bleeding really doesn't ever stop. I started taking ashwagandha and that seemed to help for a while and then stopped. I am now trying fish oil and green tea extract. I am looking for options and suggestions other than birth control or hysterectomy. I also want to stay away from the procedure that uses a catheter through your vein/artery? Any suggestions or helpful information would be amazing feeling hopeful, refusing to quit exercising since I need to lose weight, desperate for answers
