I was just told I have a fatty liver (non-alcoholic kind). My ALT is around 49. I weigh ~235 pounds. What did you guys/gals/theys do to help with it? Is it reversible? I already have a possible renal cell carcinoma, definitely don't want liver issues on top of it.

I was 10 pounds heavier than u when I was diagnosed and I lost 45 pounds in the past year and currently my ALT is back to normal so I would suggest weight loss because there is no other cure for it

Thank you! I'll bring this up to regular doctor and see if they say the same.

I'm in a similar situation I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver. My doctor just told me to lose weight and exercise... that there really is no cure. However my dietitian said to follow a diet similar to those with diabetes and reduce carbs and pair carbs with protein and healthy fats. This will reduce the impact on the liver and lower the enzymes.
