Dealing with Extreme Night Sweats: Need Advice

Anyone else struggle with extreme night sweats? I’m already on Gabapentin, I sleep with my windows open even in winter and I definitely do not have too many layers on my bed. I just woke up at 2pm… my alarm is at 8am just soaked for what feels like the millionth time. I can’t keep spending half my day showering and doing laundry just to keep from wreaking of sweat and bacteria 24/7. Idk if it’s fibro or something else. I want to get my hormones levels detected but my doctor made it seem like it was hard to do.

I have this exact same issue. My rheumatologist ended up taking me off of cymbalta because they thought the drug itself was causing the night sweats. I have now been off the medication since November and I am still experiencing drenching night sweats.

I sweat frequently, day and night and feel so hot. I’m 62 and 6 years into menopause. My doctor wanted to prescribe hormones but my insurance won’t cover it. I live in summer clothes year round, ceiling fans, naked in bed with very little covers. I put cold washcloths on my face, arms and neck

I’ll definitely get my thyroid checked again but it’s usually never a red flag on my blood tests. I guess the area where it’s located in the front of your neck has always looked a little enlarged on me, ever since a kid. It’s the first thing they always want to test and it’s always been normal.

I suffered from night sweating because my thyroid hormones were too high. I’m not saying it’s the same in your case, but it’s worth checking it up

I have extreme night sweats too, just horrible. Not sure if it’s fibro but it’s miserable. I see a hematologist/oncologist later this month and hope the blood work shows something… I don’t even know, something. I’ve had 3 basic blood draws over the last year that continue to indicate autoimmune disease and I’ve been checked for every diagnosable one.

I have always sweated heavily at night. Not sure if it's the fibro. Could be though.

I'm having the same problem and I dnt know why. I sleep with my ac on 69, have my ceiling fan, fan at my feet, fan at my head and a cooling blanket and I still wake up soaking in sweat. I wish I could find answers too.
