Dealing with Epilepsy: My Experience and Advice

Hi, I just joined and have been dealing with Epilepsy since 1979. I am not a doctor, but I can give advice on what has helped me. For me, the biggest problem I deal with is memory loss and troubles learning new skills.

I have memory problems really bad and Dr. Just told me we'll address that issue after we get seizures under control. They want to put a vagus nerve stimulator in me to help stop seizures and I'm currently not working. I want to work but idk if I can due to memory issues. Have any one of u with memory issues have a job and can manage it with memory problems?

I try to have a very set schedule and I have a place for everything I use on a regular basis. I will go out of my way to put something back immediately after I'm done using it rather than setting it down somewhere and forgeting about it until I need it again. I am also lucky enough to have a job with the same hours and days each week.

honestly I’m not sure. Marijuana is the only thing that keeps me from having seizures.
