I remind myself it is something that I cannot control and if they cannot accept that then it isn’t my problem. I do my best with what I have and that is enough

With strangers? Humor. Sometimes self-deprecating, often in the form of an apology or exaggeration. "I'm sorry, you do NOT want to go in there" to the people in line of the bathroom, that sort of thing. For people I know, I will still use jokes, but I also just explain to those who will listen what my symptoms are and how I try to deal with them (ex:carrying a bottle of poopourri in my purse. If you aren't familiar, Google it!) so they understand it's not intentional. Many people are understanding. Ignore the people that respond with disgust, they poop and fart just like everyone else and need to get over themselves.
