The Relationship Between Caffeine Intake and Diabetes: Exploring the Link

Can anyone assist me in the relationship between caffeine intake and diabetes. I am with type 2 diabetes and have an addiction with coffee. My intake of coffee per day accesses 4 cups.

Oh wow, I was just thinking about this. I've been a long term coffee drinking of 30 years of up to 4-24 oz cups a day, =900 mg of caffeine a day. And that's not the rockstar I use to drink. I got to thinking about it and I really believe there is a connection, and not just the sugary creamer, but more on the lines of the adrenals being stimulated all day, which leads to liver producing extra glucose.... All bc of drinking too much coffee. I'm not a doctor, but a thought that has been running through my head and plan to bring up with my Endo. Good luck, I've finally reduced my caffeine intake to half of what it was. No coffee, but green tea.

Diabetes and high BP go hand in hand, diabetes will eventually come with hypertension, caffeine will cause a spike in BP, so you have 2 things contributing to high BP. High BP will result in organ damage. Most common for us is kidney failure.

I'm T2, I did black coffee with a sugar free/dairy free creamer. As well as red stok coffee from the grocery store, it's low sugar and tastes good without creamer, kept my sugars low
