Dealing with Emotional Sensitivity

Anyone else here overly sensitive/emotional/easily offended? I'm always getting my feelings hurt or getting pissed off by what someone said but I bottle it up inside to avoid conflict. 😞

Oh yeah, I take everything as personally as possible and I hate it.

I definitely do. Hypersensitivity is something I’ve heard of for the first time lately- I super don’t love it! I wish I could always just laugh and brush things off. Even as a kid my therapist was telling me to try to take things like water off a ducks back- basically, just shake it off. Bottling things up sucks in my experience! Maybe you can vent about things to someone, even/ especially here on this app? It can help to be heard and get it out even if it’s not to the person who was frustrating.

I've always been told I was over sensitive, and now that I'm older I do agree with that sometimes.

I definitely know I'm over sensitive but I still don't like people calling me sensitive in a mocking way. Like if they're just stating a fact that's fine but "you're so sensitive" is rude to me.
