Dealing with DP/DR: Seeking Advice

hi, i have recently developed dp/dr. it’s lasted heavily for about a month now. i’m doing my best to manage my anxiety, stress & trauma. and do all the different things to help. im in therapy & just started an ssri. still, the “unreal” feeling is sometimes unbearable. it’s so scary and sometimes hard to not get away from no matter what i do. just want to reach out to others for any kind of advice on this.

yeah, dpdr sucks so bad. if it gives you any hope, mine tends to come in cycles—it’s unbearable sometimes, but I also have months of relief. I haven’t really developed any good techniques other than waiting it out or have a friend gently remind me of what is real and what isn’t. but please know you’re not alone and you can get through this!
