How do you deal with derealization. I feel like it’s worse when i’m doing stuff or standing and walking around. Grounding doesn’t really work.

looking in a mirror and talking to myself has saved me many, many times.

I’ve recently been experiencing serious and persistent derealization with some depersonalization at times. It’s improved a bit since I’ve decided to active ignore it. The more I tried to accept how I was feeling RIGHT NOW and it’s necessarily how I’ll always feel/not feel and just continue on has really helped. 💕

I tried all kinds of different techniques ... what helps me the most is to focus on feeling warm/cold. When I start to feel disconnected, I look for a cold/hot object and focus on the feeling it brings me.

I tend to write and or play with a rock. Personally I like ones with smooth and rough edges

It’s been a major problem for most of my life but getting in touch with feelings and processing, has helped most as well as helped depersonalization, dissociation too. It doesn’t happen that often now!
