Dealing with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and Bipolar Disorder

Hi thanks for adding me to the group. I have recently been diagnosed with depression, anxiety possible PTSD and BIPOLAR. I have been dealing with depression for most of my life since I was about 7. I have spent most of my life not acknowledging my feelings and with the recent passing of my younger sister everything has hit me like a ton of bricks. I also deal with neck and back pain and need surgery. My therapist has taken me out of work because I just can function. Now I must find new employment my husband has been out of work since October with medical issues so I have been the total bread winner so I must go back to work. This is another way that I have to burry my feelings and issues to take care of everyone and everything else I am not sure I am mentally and physically able to. Putting myself first is hard

Could you possibly qualify for disability or temporary aid for adults, so you can take some time to focus on healing? I'm kind of in a similar situation and don't really know how to get out of the corner. You have to have money to live but you need your health to have the ability to earn the money. Sorry I'm not much help but I wish you the best and hope you can find a way to take care of your health needs

It may not be helpful at this moment but the last couple times I have taken time off work for mental health I was able to apply for a short term disability through my employer. So I was still able to get paid a percentage of my wage while trying to take care of myself. So maybe in the future that could be an option
